Focus
The eye is drawn automatically to an object in focus, and selective focusing can turn this tendency to your advantage. When your subject is in focus but the remainder of the image is slightly out-of-focus, you’re using selective focusing. Simply use a low f-stop setting (like f/4, for example) and put some distance between the background of the image and its subject. You’ll ensure your subject is within the small plane of focus by focusing there. Distance between the background and your subject is important, because the farther away you move from the plane of focus, the more out-of-focus objects will seem.
Viewpoint
Viewpoint is the relationship between where you place your DSLR and your subject. Before taking a picture, look for other viewpoints. Try shooting from a position higher than the subject, a position lower and finally, from a different lateral position. See how these positions change the way your subject appears in the viewfinder. Picture quality is great. Pictures look 100 times better on a computer screen rather than the small 2.7 inch screen. The Stylus tough 6020 really lives up to its name. I’m a fishing guide in New York state and in the late fall and winter months it’s the only camera you can use do to the colder weather.
The software takes time too long to initiate. So it’s almost impossible to take a shot of an important moment we face suddenly. Does this camera do anything automatically” Good for the money, it shoots underwater and is small and shock-proof.
I took it to my daughter’s Christmas concert. My husband took pictures and the camera would not shut off. Best Buy retails this same model for $299, but this was on ‘sale’ for $223, so it was more than I expected and $80 cheaper. If the purpose of purchasing this camera is to use it for its rugged features then the camera is great!
It totally works as described and it really is as good as the commercials. I’m definitely going to take this camera snowboarding, boating, hiking, and everywhere else that is EXTREME! I also really like the rechargeable battery; just like my cell phone it charges as I have it plugged in to the USB port. I think it will pay for itself just in the battery savings alone.
It is easy to carry around everywhere and comes in great colors. I would recommend this camera to everyone! This camera was for that trip, the beach and the pool. Unfortunately we took some pictures this summer in the pool.
